Cruises through the United Arab Emirates and neighbouring regions such as the Sultanate of Oman, Kuwait or the Kingdom of Bahrain. All major shipping companies such as AIDA, TUI Cruises, Costa Cruises, MSC, Celebrity Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Lines offer emirate and oriental cruises.

Most of the routes start in the pulsating metropolis of Dubai, the flagship of the United Arab Emirates. The fascinating mix of ultra-modernity with the world’s highest buildings and world records on the assembly line as well as oriental flair as from 1001 nights offer the perfect introduction for every cruise.

The most important cruise ports in the Orient besides Dubai are Abu Dhabi, Doha (Qatar), Muscat and Khasab (Oman), Manama (Bahrain), Khor Fakkan, Salalah and the island Sir Bani Yas. Depending on the route and duration of the cruise, the trips are mainly supplemented by places such as Aqaba (Jordan), Safaga / Luxor and the Suez Canal (Egypt), Mumbai, Kochi or Goa (all in India) or ports in Turkey.

Emirates: Climate on Oriental Cruises

The climate in the shipping routes of the Orient and the United Arab Emirates can be described primarily as a desert climate and in many regions also has tropical trains. All places have in common the high temperatures all year round with sometimes extreme heat during the summer months, especially May to September.

Usually Oriental cruises are in any case outside the high summer, the climatic conditions from autumn to spring are very stable and extremely pleasant. Rain is almost never to be expected in the Orient, there is also no classical rainy season with the exception of the monsoon (in high summer) in Oman.

Dubai and Abu Dhabi still reach temperatures of 30 °C and more every day even in November, the coolest months are January and February with average day temperatures of 24 °C to 25 °C. The water temperature in the Emirates ranges between 21 °C (January) and up to 32 °C in summer. It is therefore suitable for swimming all year round.
