The most important cruise ports in the Orient besides Dubai are Abu Dhabi, Doha (Qatar), Muscat and Khasab (Oman), Manama (Bahrain), Khor Fakkan, Salalah and the island Sir Bani Yas. Best time to travel for Oriental cruises
In general, the summer in the Orient is almost unbearably hot for Europeans, even if a cruise could theoretically cool down a bit due to the airstream. But even during shore leave, every step becomes a torture at temperatures of up to 50 °C under the yellin’ sun.
The best travel season for Oriental cruises therefore starts around mid-October and lasts until around the end of April. The travel period between November and March is particularly ideal for us. The two months of May and September are still reasonably well suited for heat-insensitive people, but often reach values of 40 °C and more.
