When to travel to Curaçao?
The Curaçao climate has the special feature that the island can be visited almost all year round without thanks. Even between winter and summer there are only minimal temperature differences: The hottest month is September with average daily temperatures of 32.3 °C, the “coldest” month of January reaches average daily temperatures of 29.2 °C.
Due to its proximity to the equator, this part of the Caribbean is permanently warm and sunny. Our travel experts like to describe the months of January to May as the best travel season on Curaçao, as a light wind provides a light, pleasant cooling and at the same time very little rain falls.
In addition, there are almost no mosquitoes on the island in spring, but nature is rather dry during this period. Meanwhile, December is considered the best time for nature lovers to travel. Nevertheless, we can really recommend our readers the whole year as a travel time for Curaçao, as every season has its advantages.

Curaçao is particularly suitable as an island for bathing holidays and water sports in the Caribbean, several diving schools also bring beginners closer to the enchanting underwater world. In the two national parks of the island, besides extensive hikes, mountain bike tours are also possible.
The highlight of every Curaçao trip is undoubtedly the impressive capital Willemstad, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Dutch colonial style with its magnificent old town. The most beautiful beaches on Curaçao are for us Kenepa Beach, Playa Porto Marie, Playa Cas Abou, Playa Kenepa Chiki and the small Playa Lagun.
Popular excursions lead to the uninhabited island Little Curaçao (by catamaran). Some providers also offer an Antilles island hopping with Aruba and Bonaire (ABC Islands), the flight time from Aruba to Bonaire is about 40 minutes, from Bonaire to Curacao it is even only 20 minutes.
