When to go to Abu Dhabi?
Due to the extreme heat, an Abu Dhabi vacation in midsummer is only recommended for experienced tropical holidaymakers and healthy people. Especially travellers with heart complaints or circulatory disorders should better avoid the months of May to October. Who cannot resist the attractive discount offers in the summer, should consult their family doctor for a checkup and ensure sufficient supply of fluid throughout the day. The travel period from mid-June to early September is therefore referred to as the “hot season”.
The so-called off-peak times and shoulder seaisons, for example at the beginning of May or the end of October, are much more recommendable. However, the best time to visit Abu Dhabi and the United Arab Emirates is in February, March, April, November and December. January is also nice for exploring with daytime temperatures of around 24 °C (around 14 °C at night) and a water temperature of around 22 °C. A nice contrast to the mostly cold, grey winter in Europe and most part of the States!

Abu Dhabi: Experiences of our Visitors
after the winter and the wet cold warming and soothing
Weather Rating: 5 stars – Excellent
Ideal weather, warm enough for swimming, not too hot for sight seeing
Weather Rating: 5 stars – Excellent
Partly cool wind. Temperature 22-24 degrees. Not suitable as a bathing holiday for this time of year.
Weather Rating: 2 stars – Tricky
the weather was super pleasantly warm, very well suited for excursions
Weather Rating: 5 stars – Excellent
We were in Abu Dhabi + Dubai between the years and enjoyed the travel climate very much. It was pleasantly sunny every day, only in the early morning there was some fog, but at the latest around 10 o’clock it cleared up completely. The day values were in the shade at a mild 24-25 degrees, in the sun 30 degrees were reached. Especially in Abu Dhabi there was a light breeze during our trip, so it never got too hot. All in all a really perfect travel time to escape the winter blues in Germany. Is December / January warm enough for a bath? Basically yes, because the water is usually even warmer than the air. If the wind is not too strong, the temperatures for swimming (in the sea and pool) are even ideal. We liked the stand most on Saadiyat Island, where the new Louvre Abu Dhabi was opened. There is a great public beach and a private beach club (Saadiyat Beach Club), as well as several luxury hotels including St. Regis Abu Dhabi. Simply super!
