The Place du Casino is the tourist centre of Monaco. There you will find the famous Hôtel de Paris, the Casino of Monte Carlo and the Opera. All facilities impress with their historical architecture and are absolutely worth seeing. Another attraction is the Princely Palace, which is located on the Princely Rock in the old town of Monaco. In the marinas of Monaco you can admire spectacular, sinfully expensive private yachts.
Famous places on the Côte d’Azur are often only a stone’s throw away and are therefore also worthwhile for day trips from Monaco. Saint-Tropez, Antibes, Nice, Menton and Cannes are easily accessible by rental car and – similar to Monaco – not without reason rose to the hotspot of the rich and beautiful. Especially Nice’s castle hill, the picturesque old town and the kilometres long promenade are more than worth a detour.
