When to visit Monastir?
Monastir is located in northern Tunisia, where a typical Mediterranean climate prevails. The best time to travel in Monastir is between the end of May and mid-October, although it can get very hot, especially in high summer (July and August). The fringe months in late spring and early autumn are also highly recommended for a holiday, the Mediterranean is suitable for swimming in the region from May to November.
High season in Monastir is during the European summer holidays in July and August. At this time of the year, the sea can reach 27 °C and is more like a bathtub in shallow areas, but for many travellers this feeling for a perfect bathing holiday is simply part of it. For those who don’t like it quite as hot, there is a good middle course in the low season in June and in the low season from mid-September.
